Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week Presentation

Date and Time:
Friday, 04 December 2020 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

We welcome you to join us for an afternoon of ceremony, knowledge sharing and music! Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week is observed annually from December 1 (World AIDS Day) to December 5. This is an opportunity to learn, participate and actively work towards more equitable health response regarding HIV.

Join us on December 4 for an enlightening and powerful afternoon honouring and recognizing Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week.  The afternoon will include an opening ceremony, HIV prevention information as well as discussion regarding health inequities as well as a special conversation with Harlan Pruden, an Educator at Chee Mamuk, and Indigenous public health program at BC Centre for Disease Control. Also the co-founder of the Two Spirit Dry Lab, North America’s first research group/lab that exclusively focuses on Two-Spirit people, communities and/or experiences.
