AIDS Awareness Week
AIDS Awareness Week culminates with World AIDS Day on December 1 and is recognized globally. The first observance of World AIDS Day was December 1, 1988. In Edmonton, this week is commemorated with various awareness events throughout the city. In 2010, HIV Edmonton hosted a fundraising event, the Legacy Concert with Simon-Marc de Freitas at Muttart Hall on World AIDS Day, as well as partnered with Starbucks for the 2nd Annual Celebrity Baristas campaign.
AIDS AWARENESS WEEK 2011 will be held November 24-December 1.
