Counselling

HIV Edmonton currently has qualified counsellors who are highly trained in HIV/AIDS treatment and care.

Counselling is on a drop-in basis during our regular business hours.  Counselling includes individual, family and group sessions.

HIV Edmonton counsellors work within a solution focused model, concentrating our efforts on maintaining quality of life for all individuals infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

Our counselling staff are trained in counselling to a culturally diverse community and as such, are sensitive to cultural differences as they impact attitudes in care and treatment of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.  Our counsellors have received specific training in Aboriginal traditions and culture.
